Sheer bikini

Wearing a sheer bikini requires a high degree of confidence in one’s appearance. These swimsuits leave very little to the imagination, and as such aren’t necessarily for everyone. They are definitely not for the timid.

A sheer bikini is most often made from a material such as Lycra or mesh. These materials are exceptionally thin, making them appear nearly transparent, especially when wet. However, there are varying degrees of “sheer”, so some versions are less revealing than others.

While a sheer bikini can be a great way to enjoy a day in the sun, they are not ideally suited to every environment. They are not always the best idea for visiting a public pool or beach, as many people feel they can be inappropriate when children are present. And in some locations there are laws regulating how revealing a swimsuit can be.
