They are typically more revealing than a standard version, so they are not for everyone. However, they have grown immensely in popularity since they were first introduced.

Brazilian bikinis are more defined by their bottoms than by their tops. The bottoms are generally designed to sit low on the hips and more often than not use a thong-style back. They also use less material in the front as well.

Top design is not such a hallmark of Brazilian bikinis. Halter tops, triangle tops, and even bandeau tops can be incorporated into the Brazilian style. This helps make these bikinis relatively versatile.
